Bidding is now open for our August Auction of Fine & Rare Wines which will be held on Wednesday, August 11 through Friday, August 13 starting promptly at 9:00am ET each day. We're excited to bring to market over 4700 incredibly diverse lots of exceptional wine. Bidders can utilize HDH’s industry leading bidding platform, available via our mobile app or online at auction.hdhwine.com.

The August sale features a stunning array of wines spanning several decades, and includes some of the most exciting regions around the world. A wide variety of mixed lots will also delight those looking to fill their cellars with often unseen gems.

Over a quarter of this sale is comprised of some of the most compelling wines that California has to offer. Names with cult followings such as Colgin, Harlan, and Schrader feature in quantity, and those looking for California wines with a bit of age can place bids on two bottles of 1958 Inglenook Winery Cabernet Sauvignon, Cask F-30 (est. $700-$1,000); a single bottle of 1977 Joseph Phelps Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Eisele Vineyard (est. $500-750); and a two bottle mixed lot of Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon (1x 1960, 1x 1968, est. $450-650).

For those on the hunt for Bordeaux, the selection in this auction will not disappoint. Highlights from the Right Bank include two bottles of 1995 Château Lafleur (est. $800-1200); five bottles of 2000 Château La Fleur Pétrus (est. $1000-1500); and a magnum of 2000 Château Ausone (est. $1,400-2,000), while the Left Bank features lots such as three magnums of 1979 Château Lafite Rothschild (est. $2,200-3,200); a jeroboam of 1985 Château Léoville Las Cases (est. $1,400-2,000); and four bottles of 1990 Château Montrose (est. $2,000-3,000).

Burgundy collectors will also see that there is much to be excited about in this sale, with a rich selection of wines dating to 1962. Be on the lookout for four bottles of 1969 Vosne-Romanée, 1er Cru Maison Leroy (est. $1,300-1,900); two bottles of 1990 Vosne-Romanée, Les Suchots Robert Arnoux (est. $1,100-1,700); and two bottles of 2001 Grands-Echézeaux René Engel (est. $2,800-4,200).

Collection Policy
Our August auction will take place in Delaware and all purchases must be picked up at our New Castle, Delaware warehouse or shipped outside of the U.S. If you are unable to pick up your order, you may authorize an agent or shipping agent to pick up on your behalf.
