Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. is excited to announce its magnificent September Auction of Finest & Rarest Wines to be held on Thursday, September 23rd and Friday, September 24th beginning at 9:00am ET both days. Online bidding opens this morning for this record-breaking sale; featuring 3,008 lots and valued at an estimated $9.9-14.8 million, this comes to market as the highest value wine auction of 2021 worldwide to date. Each one of the very special collections compliments the next, and provides HDH the opportunity to showcase wines of incredible diversity and provenance. Bidders can utilize HDH’s industry-leading bidding platform, available via their mobile app or online, to place live and absentee bids.

This is truly a momentous auction, one of significance that is impossible to overstate. The Financier's Collection (lots 1656-1803) boasts over 140 lots of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and with incredible depth of selection, this offering is valued at a staggering $2.3-3.5 million. These lots were purchased on release from a well-reputed retailer in the Upper Midwest and did not leave that retailer's perfect temperature- and humidity-controlled storage facility until dedicated shipment for this sale. Without regard for price and with a singular focus on quality, these were compiled as a part of a larger collection, and HDH is honored to bring them to market.

The Hardy P. Graham Sr. Collection (lots 372-714) is one that HDH has had the privilege of representing before, and we are thrilled to offer these lots on behalf of a long-time friend. Featuring a rich cache of Burgundy, sourced directly through his investment in Le Serbet and friendship with the late Becky Wasserman, this collection is the result of many years spent conscientiously procuring some of the greatest vintages from the best producers of the region. Names like JF Mugnier, Michel Lafarge, and Comte Georges de Vogüé shine next to Bordeaux from the top vintages of the 20th century, as well as glowing wines of the Rhône Valley and Madeiras dating back to the 1820s.

Ever on the lookout for a celebration, HDH is delighted to offer bidders the chance to compete for lots from The Cellar of an Effervescent Collector (lots 1924-2146). Built by a diligent collector who generously enjoyed starting meals with a special bottle of Dom Pérignon, this is a must-see collection of effervescence as well as diversity and impeccable provenance. Stunning examples of the legendary Champagne find themselves sharing the spotlight with a vast selection of top-tier Bordeaux, multiple vintages of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and some of the great pillars of Californian winemaking: Colgin and Joseph Phelps.

Continuing with what was an incredibly compelling selection this past spring, bidders can get excited once again for Further Offerings from The Gladwine Cellar (lots 225-371). This collection features a spectacular depth of Bordeaux from the 1995 and 1996 vintages, alongside multiple lots of Harlan, Joseph Phelps Insignia, and Diamond Creek. Each bottle was meticulously sourced and perfectly stored; bidders should browse and place their bids with the utmost confidence.

Highlights from these collections and others are below, and bidders are encouraged to peruse the sale to find more treasures. Place your bids quickly, and join Hart Davis Hart for this exceptional auction taking place September 23rd and 24th at 9:00am ET both days. HDH invites connoisseurs, collectors, and investors to join them online via their mobile app or auction website to bid on these phenomenal wines.
