Bidding is now open for our January Auction of Fine & Rare Wines which will be held on Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29 starting promptly at 8:00am ET both days. This exceptional sale will feature over 3,650 lots which are estimated to realize $2.0-3.1 million. Bidders can utilize HDH’s industry leading bidding platform, available via our mobile app or online at auction.hdhwine.com to place bids.

The January sale features a superb selection of wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California, Champagne, Italy, and more, with vintages spanning from 1845 to 2018.

A further selection from The Personal Estate of Joseph Phelps (lots 142-485) will be offered. Highlights include a single bottle of 1945 Château Haut-Brion (est. $2,400-3,500); 2 magnums of 1971 Grands-Echézeaux, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (est. $16,000-24,000); and 1 magnum of 1974 Heitz Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon, Martha's Vineyard (est. $2,600-3,800). The offering in HDH's December auction from Mr. Phelps saw great demand with over 92% of lots selling above their high estimates. These wines have exceptional provenance and are an opportunity to bring home a piece of history; bid with confidence.

Bordeaux connoisseurs will be pleased to find 2 bottles of 1989 Château Haut-Brion (est. $2,600-3,800); 6 bottles of 2000 Château Lafite Rothschild (est. $5,500-8,500); and 3 bottles of 2015 Château Pétrus (est. $6,500-9,500).

Burgundy enthusiasts should make note of 2 bottles of 1972 Clos de la Roche, Domaine Dujac (est. $3,000-4,500); 1 bottle of 1991 Vosne-Romanée, Beaux Monts, Henri Jayer (est. $4,500-6,500); and 6 bottles of 2017 Corton Rouge, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (est. $5,500-8,500).
