Bidding is now open for our August Auction of Fine & Rare Wines which will be held on Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 starting promptly at 7:00am CT both days. This exceptional sale will feature over 3,850 lots which are estimated to realize $2.2-3.4 million. Bidders can utilize HDH’s industry leading bidding platform, available via our mobile app or online at auction.hdhwine.com.
The August sale features a superb selection of wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California, Champagne, Italy, and more, with vintages spanning from 1885 to 2018.
Those looking for Burgundy treasures will be pleased to find two 6-bottle lots of 2017 La Tâche, DRC in OWC which were strapped prior to inspection by HDH (lots 220 & 2217, est. $18,000-28,000). Additionally, a single bottle of 1999 Clos Vougeot, Domaine Leroy (est. $1,700-2,600); 3 bottles of 2007 Meursault, Coche-Dury (est. $1,400-2,000); and 1 bottle of 2009 Chambertin, Armand Rousseau (est. $1,700-2,600) will be offered.
A selection of blue-chip Bordeaux will come across the auction block. Bidders should note 8 bottles of 1989 Château La Mission Haut-Brion (est. $5,500-8,500); a full case of 1990 Château Margaux (est. $7,000-10,000); and 12 bottles of the 100-point 2016 Château Lafite Rothschild (est. $5,000-7,500).
New world California favorites include a full case of 1994 Dominus (est. $2,400-3,500); 3 bottles of 2008 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon (est. $5,000-7,500); 12 bottles of 2012 Marcassin Winery Chardonnay, Marcassin Vineyard (est. $3,000-4,500) and more.

Our August auction will take place in Delaware and all purchases must be picked up at our New Castle, Delaware warehouse or shipped outside of the U.S. If you are unable to pick up your order, you may authorize an agent or shipping agent to pick up on your behalf.
